1. The service

Dovely connects members so they can exchange real postcards by post. When you request a recipient, you are matched with another member and shown the mailing address you need to send them a card; in return, other members send cards to you.

2. Exchange rules

The exchange relies on members keeping their commitments:

• When you request and receive a recipient's address, you agree to send them a postcard.
• You must keep your own mailing address accurate and complete so cards reach you.
• Use an address you are entitled to receive mail at, and only addresses provided to you through an active exchange.

3. Acceptable use and moderation

You agree to use the service respectfully and lawfully. Do not upload, send, or post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes the rights of others. Photos uploaded to the community gallery are subject to moderation, and we may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these terms.

4. Your content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload. By uploading, you grant Dovely a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content within the service for the purpose of operating the gallery and the exchange. You confirm you have the rights needed to share what you upload.

5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that every postcard will arrive, as delivery depends on members and on national postal systems beyond our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dovely and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

6. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that are used to abuse the service. On deletion, your personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which the operator is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

Our handling of your personal data, including the disclosure of your mailing address to a matched sender, is described in the Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how your data is used.
